SLOTH BEAR: Always Lurking

SLOTH BEAR seen here patiently waiting, lurking, and acting aloof.  Waiting till the men move out the way so he can snatch one of them logs.  What in the world would SLOTH BEAR do with a giant log you may/or may not be asking.  Well, he's got a wicked trout bone stuck between his teeth and thinks one of those logs would make a perfect toothpick.  SLOTH BEAR problems.

The Time SLOTH BEAR and I Were In A Band

For a hot minute SLOTH BEAR played rhythm guitar in my band.  Awful idea, SLOTH BEAR's mitts were NOT made for pluckin' strings.  The bongo drums though, another story!  Put a pair of bongos in front of SLOTH BEAR and watch out!  FIRE!

SLOTH BEAR: Left His Heart In San Francisco

He also left a massive dent in the Golden Gate Bridge and was not so politely asked to leave the city, forever.  Poor SLOTH BEAR, he was having such a nice visit too.  He gobbled up endless piles of fish at Fisherman's Warf, he swam out to Alcatraz, he rode on top of a cable car.  But when he got to the Golden Gate Bridge, it was all over.  That bridge just looked too much like a giant, relaxing red hammock and the SLOTH in him couldn't resist!  SLOTH BEAR's inherent need to unwind and kick back took over, and to the horror of the evening commuters, he put his feet up.  Not OK SLOTH friend, not OK.

SLOTH BEAR: Always A Bride's Maid, Never A Bride

Or, in this case... always first runner up, never the beauty queen.  SLOTH BEAR, would never be described as a "classic beauty", but what he lacks in looks, he makes up for with sparkling personality.  In the swimsuit competition, SLOTH BEAR wowed the crowed.  During the interview portion, SLOTH BEAR had the judges in tears! But SLOTH BEAR's undoing was when he kept nodding off during the talent competition.  SLOTH BEAR is a master baton twirler, only he's not very fast and was born tired.  You can take a SLOTH BEAR to a beauty pageant, but you can't take the SLOTH out of the bear.

SLOTH BEAR participated in this stop motion freak-out animation I did 4 years ago.  Ahhhh, the yearly days. This is a down and dirty sloth, doin' cartwheels and gettin' loose all to the sweet sounds of a Black Flag baseline. SLOTH BEAR'S Punk phase.

SLOTH BEAR's Tender Moments... With A Rock

What??? Oh man, SLOTH BEAR used to have a pal named Ruby who was a volcano.  Well Ruby erupted and was never seen again.  Poor SLOTH BEAR has been lost without her and keeps finding random rocks along the coast and hugging them.  I don't have the heart to tell SLOTH BEAR that he doesn't know this rock, and that he should probably keep it moving.  So I'll just sit here let him sloth handle that inanimate object.

SLOTH BEAR! LIVIN' LA VIDA LAZY!

Oh look what we have here... A sleeping SLOTH BEAR!  This is shocking... to no one.  This activity is one of the things this ol' blobby slothy creature was put on this great earth to do.  He does it with style, grace, and complete confidence.  Personally, I wouldn't pick a prickly Joshua Tree as the perfect loungin' spot, but when ya gotta snooze... ya gotta snooze.  Oh SLOTH BEAR, you unconventional sleeper you!!

SLOTH BEAR: Has Not Lost His Vacation Weight

What in the world?? I think ol' sloth friend here was trying to climb to the top of this tree to get a better look at that gorgeous mountain view, but was not anticipating a full collapse of the the tree's top! WHOA!  SLOTH BEAR is not svelte by any means, but getting up and lounging on tree tops is a pretty normal occurrence for this guy.  I heard a rumor that SLOTH BEAR was in New Orleans last week, and although the local fare is a lot of healthy seafood, most of it is FRIED!  Heard SLOTH BEAR had himself one too many friend shrimp Po' Boys, AND IT SHOWS!

Oh You Loungy SLOTH BEAR You

Here, SLOTH BEAR is seen doing what he knows how to do best... relax!  Oh he sits, he lounges, he suns himself, he stretches out, and looks like he found a friend who enjoys the same.  SLOTH BEAR can laze around like nobody's business, and it ain't no one's business but him and his lady friend.  You go ahead with your loungy self!!

SLOTH BEAR: Still Not A Fan Of Sailing

This time Sloth Bear is showin' his TEETH!  He is not OK with this!  Who knows why he is so upset, but he is not playing around.  It might have something to do with an incident involving a yacht party, beautiful women, and him not being invited.  Sloth Bear holds a GRUDGE!!

This misunderstood and mysterious bear has been studied for ages.  Some were stuffed and examined at cub scout meetings.

Sloth Bears were kept in zoos to be stared and gawked at.  The shame!

Things changed after a series of selfless heroic acts on the Bear's part.  After, the Sloth Bear was hailed as an American treasure.  Bravo.
